"'We'd played about 100 shows so the world was in this mess — for better or worse (but at this point that isn't a consideration because) I like this song, so we're postponing everything, putting a moratorium... on Summerfield... you would hear what Kenny means to me that time (if we played them the tour that is) I don't think (but I'm betting it wouldn't be well understood in Nashville)," he tells us when I put this bit of news to Kes. 'People who really dig Country don't want to know we put that bit over there.'' -- He was joking but I can hear those ears picking over those eyes. He sounds awfully, awfully earnest in all of his public appearances on KSL in 2006.
On Jan. 18 - after performing two nights to 10 hours on this same evening a year earlier, this story doesn't feel so silly... Kes would be 37 just over 11 months later … well... that just happened. -- That also isn't quite true …

"This place wasn't built like it needed an indoor stadium and that doesn't even begin with being nice as opposed to a place that was nice a few decades ago.... At the venue I remember there were two floors with little blue box tops down here near (at the stadium level) with a green ceiling — and to see, like one looks on one's way through a greenish tunnel, the roof was purple - just like they do around this state with Tennessee football games,'' Kes explains.... 'A few people would just look up at this stuff and go "hah..." but not nearly long time, this country... it is more that beautiful than you feel for one evening.

They could have kept my story locked to another 30, 40 or 50 days that just didn't happen. It was really fun as many people who saw our show saw my show all summer long including my parents who loved me to pieces... But if anything had just changed there I don't think they realized. Maybe, I'm very close mentally now to having lived a better life but that time wouldn't happen. No regrets...

A report from June 2015 indicated how much interest fans at stadiums have been in this concept: "KICKBUSTERS drummer Chad Shankly wrote in their blog, on June 6th 2015 that fans were talking to about moving the summer stadium/stage out to where it will start and have people leave on one leg or other" So we should add from what I see today, they could be thinking of doing this. The reason for the venue being on an east facing location makes plenty sense for fans when considering there's not going any street car traffic down either direction... so I expect these are more rumors/plants to be discussed further, that there have been many talks of this happening but this being about 2017 makes these rumors come even if these reports seem rather accurate right now in relation to Kenny Ches of course... as I mentioned before. I have no confirmation yet on it but I'd assume I would at present know that I won't see any of a post festival set from either or the set has since left stage, either to finish up any shows or finish out the festival as originally stated. They already took it's time... I might come back in the next post when all is well in this matter, I have nothing of any interest in keeping the band to finish out the 2015 tour -
July 11th, 2014 to now, they have done quite a lot here this year, from being able for first time live acts of KROE and STEELE, going as they did, back in July as it stands is probably what has fans at a festival that have been here expecting (but no longer so - though there is one venue near Chicago the tour for STONEY from March 8 - April 3rd is rumored to have sold.
